Ecuador Climate

Our Itinery

As dawn breaks over the bustling cityscape of Ecuador, your adventure begins with a seamless transition from the urban chaos to the serene embrace of Medina del Lago. Nestled beside a tranquil lake, this secluded haven greets you with a sumptuous lunch, inviting you to relax and soak in the panoramic views of calm waters and verdant hillsides. The afternoon drifts by leisurely; whether you explore the lush surroundings or unwind in the comfort of your elegant room, the day eases you into peace. As night falls, a dinner crafted from local flavors is served under the stars, setting a tone of tranquil indulgence for your journey ahead.

The next morning, after a refreshing breakfast amidst the sounds of nature, you set out for Cuicocha Lake. With its deep blue waters and vibrant ecosystems, the crater lake offers a mystical boat ride around its islets, each teeming with life and legends. Post exploration, the culinary delights at Mirage provide a perfect pause, where you can enjoy a meal surrounded by gardens or opt for a relaxing spa experience. Later, the quiet of Medina del Lago welcomes you back for the evening, ensuring your night is as restful as it is luxurious.

The allure of thermal waters calls you away to Termas de Papallacta on the third day. Nestled high among mist-covered mountains, the renowned spa and resort offer healing and relaxation in its thermal baths. Lunch at Papallacta is a warm affair, with traditional dishes complementing the chilly mountain air. In the afternoon, indulge in the therapeutic properties of the hot springs, letting the mineral-rich waters rejuvenate your spirit. A serene dinner at the resort encapsulates a day of bodily nourishment and soulful retreat.

With the Andean highlands lingering in your thoughts, you venture forth the next morning for a gentle hike through the unique páramo ecosystem. The trails, dotted with flora and fauna native to this altitude, reflect nature’s resilience and beauty. Returning to the comfort of your hotel, the afternoon and evening offer moments of relaxation and contemplation, with dinner echoing the tranquil mood of your surroundings.

As your journey nears its end, you return to Quito’s vibrant energy. The Swiss Hotel hosts your final lunch, after which the colorful stalls of the Mercado Artesanal beckon. Amidst handcrafted goods and bustling aisles, you find the perfect souvenirs of your travels. Your last evening offers a choice of dining experiences, each with a unique view of Quito’s sparkling cityscape, providing a fitting farewell to your serene expedition.

On the final morning, as you enjoy breakfast and prepare for departure, the memories of tranquil lakes, soothing springs, and peaceful trails merge into a narrative of rejuvenation and discovery. It isn’t just a journey through Ecuador’s landscapes; it’s an immersion into tranquility, a voyage that has traversed geographical expanses and the vast, serene territories of your inner landscape.
