Welcomes You to Your Tour!

WE ARE SO EXCITED that you have chosen us! Here are some tips and resources you can use to help you get ready to come to Ecuador!

Have your passport ready!

Before you know it, you will be heading to the airport to arrive! Please make sure your passport is up to date and flight ready! Your passport will need to be no less than 6 months from its expiration date in order to get into Ecuador.

What is the Weather Like?

The weather in Andes of Ecuador is temperate, ranging from 75 to 55 almost year round. There are areas, such as the Mitad Del Mundo that is significantly hotter than the rest of the Andes. Come ready to expect the unexpected. Bring a variety of clothes to wear. Alicia finds that a shell or short sleeved shirt with another on top, serves her well since she can remove the layers, if necessary.

Bring a Backpack

As we explore diverse and beautiful locations, coming well-prepared is essential. Along with a backpack to carry your daily essentials—like a change of clothes, comfortable sneakers, snacks, a water bottle, your phone, and a camera—please bring mosquito repellent, sunscreen, a cap or hat, a windbreaker, and a raincoat. These items are crucial for your comfort and protection as we encounter various weather conditions and environments. If you need to purchase a new backpack, we will provide a recommended list from Amazon. A backpack is convenient and your indispensable travel companion, keeping all your essentials, including protective gear, organized and within easy reach.

Altitude

To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience during your journey with us, it’s important to address the challenge of high altitude. Since altitude can be an issue for those unfamiliar, we begin our adventures with an overnight stay in Quito. This gradual acclimatization helps your body adjust to being higher than sea level. Rest assured, our dedicated team will closely monitor altitude-related symptoms and be ready to assist as needed. Common remedies like chocolate or sugar can help regulate and stabilize your system. Additionally, bringing a nasal spray can effectively alleviate discomfort caused by the altitude. Lastly, remember to pack a hat to protect yourself from the sun!
